Catwalk National Recreation Trail Hike

Description: Come see why Whitewater Creek, which flows through the Catwalk National
Recreation Area is being proposed for Wild and Scenic River designation. The hike offers a
fascinating glimpse into the geologic and historic foundations of southwest New Mexico. This
hike takes you along the historic 1890’s mining waterway, and a sense of place that creates
images of an earlier time.
