Hike along the Gila River

Description: Join us for an adventure to the Mogollon Box to experience the proposed Gila
River as Wild and Scenic. The scenery found all along the Gila River in the Mogollon Box is
breathtaking. The color contrasts between the lush river corridor and the backdrop of sheer
rock outcroppings are captivating. Stands of Fremont cottonwood, narrow leaf cottonwood,
Arizona sycamore and Gooding’s willow are wide spread along the floodplain and characterize
the area’s gorgeous setting.
